Morrisett Agro Forestry Ventures Private Limited has its office right in the heart of Mumbai. We are located at 127 Maker Chamber III on Jamnalal Bajaj Marg. Nariman Point is a busy business district, which is a bit different from the forests and farms we actually deal with. We focus on agro-forestry, which basically means mixing trees with regular farming. It's a bit of a niche thing, but we find it interesting and practical. Even though our address is in a big city skyscraper, our hearts are really in the rural projects. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the city and the countryside. The office in Mumbai is where we handle the legal stuff and the investments. It’s a private limited setup. We don't go for any of those flashy corporate slogans. We just work on making forestry and agriculture go together well. It’s a lot of planning and looking at maps. Sometimes the city life is a bit too much, but this is where the business happens. We’ve been at Nariman Point for a while now. The team is small and we prefer it that way because it keeps things simple. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. Just a workspace where we get things done. We are just trying to make the ventures work for everyone involved. It’s a steady job and we like seeing the trees grow over time. That’s what matters to us and the people we work with.
