Our place is Unit No. 36 on the ground floor of the Bhandup Indl. Etate. It’s in Bhandup (W), which is a pretty crowded area if you’re coming in by train or road. Being on the ground floor is lucky because we don't have to lug heavy things up any stairs or wait for a slow elevator. The unit is a decent size, though it feels smaller when we have a lot of equipment sitting around. There’s always a bit of dust because of all the activity in the estate, so we spend a lot of time wiping down surfaces. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops, so there’s a constant hum of machines in the background all day long. I usually get here early to open up the shutters before the sun gets too hot. It can get quite warm inside during the summer months, so we have a few old fans that we keep running. We don't really have a fancy reception area or anything like that. People just walk right in through the main door. It’s a practical space for the kind of work we do. We’ve been in this specific unit for a while now and we know the layout by heart. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, just a standard industrial unit with a metal door and some windows, but it’s where we get everything done. We just keep to ourselves and get the jobs finished.
