Mohan Auto Centre

Working with cars and engines is what we do at Mohan Auto Centre. We are located over at Antop Hill 30. It’s a dusty job and our hands are usually covered in grease by noon. People bring in their vehicles when they hear a weird noise or something stops working. We don't have a waiting room with a TV. Usually, customers just stand around or come back later. We have a lot of tools scattered about, but we know where everything is. The traffic around Antop Hill is always heavy so there is never a shortage of work. Sometimes a repair takes longer because parts are hard to find. We don't promise things we can't do. If a car is too far gone, we say so. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside and the engines are still warm. We deal with bikes too. My father started this kind of work and I just kept it going. It’s not a shiny showroom. It’s a workshop with old tires and oil cans in the corner. We get the job done and that’s what matters to the folks around here. We don't use fancy computers for everything. We listen to the engine and figure out what's wrong. Some days the shop is a mess, but the cars leave running better than they came in. Most people who live nearby know the sound of our shutters opening in the morning. We just keep our heads down and fix what needs fixing.
