Mohammed Printing Works

Mohammed Printing Works is down in Byculla at Office No 4. We’re on the ground floor of the Alla building. It’s very close to 1st Sankli Road. If you are in the Byculla area, you probably know how busy it gets. Our shop is always humming with the sound of machines. We’ve been doing printing here for a long time. It’s a bit of a dusty place with all the paper and ink around, but it’s where we get the work done. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the presses. We take in all sorts of jobs from people in the neighborhood. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for folks to drop off their orders. Sankli Road is a good landmark if you’re trying to find the Alla building. We don’t really do any big advertising. Word of mouth from people around Byculla is how most people hear about us. We just focus on getting the ink on the paper right. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. The office is small and packed with stuff, but we know where everything is. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but the printing business stays pretty much the same. We just keep going, one job at a time. It’s a bit noisy with the machines, but we don't mind it much. There is usually a pile of paper waiting to be cut or folded near the front door.
