Modi Chem

If you’ve ever been to Masjid Bunder, you know how crazy Bhandari Street can get. Modi Chem is located at number 9 in the Globe Business Centre, right opposite the Masjid Post Office. It’s a whirlwind of people, carts, and noise every single day. We’ve been operating from here for a long time, and you kind of get used to the chaos. The building itself is old, and our office is just one of many small units packed into the center. We deal with chemicals, mostly handling the distribution side of things. It’s a lot of coordinating with transport guys and making sure the paperwork for the customs or the tax office is in order. The stairs are narrow and it’s always a bit of a squeeze when someone is coming the other direction with a heavy bag. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and find us sitting among stacks of invoices and samples. It’s a busy life, and sometimes it feels like we spend half the day just talking to people on the street. We know the postman and the tea seller across the way quite well. It’s the kind of place where business is done with a lot of shouting over the traffic and firm handshakes. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We're just a small chemical outfit in the heart of one of Mumbai’s busiest markets, getting through the day.
