Modern X Ray Clinic

You’ll find Modern X Ray Clinic on the second floor of Patel Chambers. It’s right in the Opera House area, which is always packed with people and old buildings. Taking the elevator up to the second floor brings you to our office, which feels a bit tucked away from the chaos downstairs. We have the big X-ray machines in the back rooms behind the heavy doors. The walls are thick to keep everything safe, and there’s a distinct smell of film chemicals and dust. It’s a bit of an older space, with high ceilings and some worn-out tiles on the floor. We spend our time positioning people against the plates and then running back to the control booth to take the image. It’s a lot of "hold your breath" and "don't move" all day long. Sometimes the patients are a bit nervous about the machines, so we just talk them through it in a normal way. We don't have a big staff, just enough to handle the paperwork and get the films developed or digitized. The view from the second-floor windows shows the rooftops of the Opera Housen area, which is actually quite interesting if you have a minute to look. We just do the scans, print the results, and send people on their way. It’s a basic, necessary service in an old part of town. We’ve been in this chamber for years and the routine hasn't changed much over all that time.
