Modern Family Salon

We are over at Kurla West, in the Fithwala Complex on Cst Road. Our shop is number 13. It’s pretty easy to find if you look for the New Model Talkies, we are right across from there. Being near Arpan Hospital means there are always people moving around the street at all hours. Modern Family Salon is exactly what it sounds like. We get the whole family coming in together, from the grandparents down to the small kids who don't want to sit still in the chair. It can get a bit loud and messy when the shop is full on a Saturday afternoon, but that is just how it goes for us. Kurla is a very busy part of Mumbai and we see a lot of different people every single day. We don't do anything too fancy, just the regular stuff like cuts, shaves, and maybe some basic hair color if someone asks for it. The chairs are a bit old but they are comfortable enough for a twenty-minute sit. We’ve got a few mirrors that have seen better days but they show you what you need to see. Most of us working here live nearby in the area, so we know the neighborhood well. It is just a simple business on a busy road. People come in, get their hair done, and then they head back out to the traffic on Cst Road. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t.
