Mobilewala

Our shop, Mobilewala, is right on S V Road in Phase 4. It’s number 142, so we are right in the middle of all the noise and traffic that S V Road is famous for. If you live around here, you know it never really stays quiet. We’ve got shelves full of cases, chargers, and different types of phones. People are always dropping in to ask about a new model or just to get a screen protector put on properly. It’s a small shop but we keep it packed with stuff. I spend most of my day behind the counter talking to people. Some days it’s really busy and other days I’m just reorganizing the memory cards and cables. I like being on S V Road because you meet all kinds of people. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning that works all the time, but it’s a good spot. We’ve been here long enough that people know us. I try to keep things simple. If a phone is worth fixing, I tell them, and if it's junk, I say that too. Most of the work is just helping people find the right cable or explaining why their battery is dying so fast. It's a typical local shop. We open up in the morning and stay until late evening because that’s when most people are heading home from work. It gets dusty, but that's life.
