Mobile Today

Our shop is right on C M H Road in the 1st Stage area. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always something happening outside the door. Mobile Today has been here since the street looked a lot different than it does now. We open up early because that’s when people are heading to work and might need something quick. The shelves are mostly full of chargers and cases. It gets a little cramped when more than three people are inside at once. Mumbai is always moving, and we are just a small part of that movement. I’ve lived around here most of my life. Most of the time, I am just sitting behind the counter watching the cars go by. We handle a lot of cracked screens. It seems like everyone drops their phone at least once a month. We don't use any fancy machines, just standard tools and a bit of patience. The lighting in the back is a bit dim, but we get the work done eventually. If the rain starts, people crowd under our awning to stay dry. It’s nice to have those short conversations with strangers while we wait for the clouds to clear. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the 1st Stage. We just want to be the one people remember when they have a problem. It’s a simple living for us. Sometimes we stay late if a repair is being stubborn. That is just part of the day here.
