Mobile Telecom

Our shop is located on 5th Main here in Mumbai. It’s a small spot, but we stay busy because there’s always someone with a cracked screen or a phone that won't charge. We’ve been at this for a bit, sitting behind the glass counter surrounded by chargers, cables, and those colorful plastic cases everyone likes. It gets noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we’re usually just focused on tiny screws and motherboards. People drop by when they’re in a hurry, asking about data plans or looking for a cheap second-hand handset. We don't have fancy displays or those big bright lights you see in malls. It’s more of a practical place where things get fixed. Often, the back room is just piles of old parts and tools we use every day. My hands are usually a bit dirty from prying open phone backs. We don't do much talking unless it’s about why a battery is swelling or which screen protector is actually worth the money. It’s just work. We open up, handle the walk-ins, and try to get the repairs done before the sun goes down. Mumbai is a fast city, so everyone wants their phone back yesterday. We do what we can with what we have here on the 5th Main. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us going day after day.
