Mobile Point

Mobile Point is right on L B S Marg in Mumbai. If you know that road, you know it never really sleeps. The noise from the cars and the horns is constant. Our shop is a small slice of that chaos. We have a big glass window at the front that we have to clean every morning because of the road dust. Inside, it’s mostly phones. We have new ones in boxes and older ones that people have traded in. There is a lot of blue light from all the screens. L B S Marg is a great spot because someone is always dropping their phone while getting off a bus nearby. We see a lot of broken glass. The counter is usually covered in screen protectors and charging cables. We have a small back room where we keep the spare parts and the soldering irons. It smells a bit like hot plastic back there. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture. Just a few chairs for people to wait on while we check their devices. Sometimes we share a tea with the shop owner next door when things are slow. It’s a tough street to work on because of the heat and the noise, but we’ve been here for a while. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next person who needs a battery.
