Mobile Point

You can find me over on Chandan Street in Bhandup West at Mobile Point. The shop is tucked away in a spot that gets a decent amount of foot traffic, especially in the late afternoons. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with glass cases and some stools for people to sit on while they wait for their phones to be looked at. I handle a lot of different things here, from selling SIM cards to fixing screens that have been cracked. My workbench is in the back, usually cluttered with tiny screws and screwdrivers that I keep losing. It’s a lot of sitting and squinting at small parts, but I don’t mind it much. I like the challenge of figuring out why a phone won’t turn on anymore. The local kids often stop by to look at the latest accessories, and I know most of the other shopkeepers on this block. We often share tea in the afternoons when things quiet down a bit. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the sign outside is a little faded from the sun, but people still find us. I don't really do any marketing or post on social media much. Most people just walk in because they live nearby or someone told them I could fix their device. It’s just a regular neighborhood shop where we take things one day at a time and try to be helpful to anyone who walks in through the door.
