Mobile Planet

Mobile Planet is located in the Khetwadi area of Mumbai. If you know Khetwadi, you know it is a maze of lanes and very crowded buildings. Our shop is one of those small spots squeezed into the ground floor of an old building. We have glass counters filled with all sorts of mobile accessories like colorful covers, earphones, and charging cables. It is a bright little place because we need good light to see what we are doing when we apply screen protectors. The area outside is always bustling with people and the sounds of the neighborhood. We handle a lot of small repairs and software updates for people living nearby. It is a very local kind of business. We know many of our customers by name because they come in for their monthly recharges or just to see what new gadgets we have. The space inside is quite narrow, so if more than three people come in at once, it feels full. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps us cool enough. Sometimes we stay open quite late because that is when people are coming home from work and need things fixed. It is a simple shop, nothing fancy at all. We just focus on giving people what they need for their phones without making it complicated. It's a busy life in Khetwadi but we like being part of the community here. Every day is a bit different.
