Mobile Connection

Mobile Connection is situated in Mumbai at Phase No 1, B Block. It’s a fairly straightforward place where we handle all sorts of phone-related stuff. We’ve been operating out of this B Block location for quite a bit. The shop is basically a long room with glass cases on both sides. Cables, cases, and used phones are always for sale. Usually, it's just one or two of us behind the counter. Fancy uniforms aren't our thing. We just wear what’s comfortable and get to work. The area in Phase No 1 is always active, so there is never a dull moment. A lot of different people come through every day, from students to office workers. Our main job is making sure people can stay connected, whether that’s fixing a charging port or selling a SIM card. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is honest work. Sometimes the stock takes forever to arrive and customers have to be told to come back the next day. We just try to get the phones working again so people don't have to keep coming back for the same problem. The shop has a bit of a lived-in feel, with some old chairs and a desk that’s seen better days. That is just how it is at Mobile Connection. Doing our bit in Mumbai is what we're here for. The door stays open to let a breeze in when it’s not too dusty.
