Mobile Collection

Working in a city like Mumbai means you are always dealing with a lot of people in a hurry. My shop, Mobile Collection, is right in the middle of all that noise and movement. It’s not a very big space, but we manage to fit a lot of stuff onto the walls and into the glass counters. Mostly, it’s chargers, screen protectors, and various types of phone cases that people seem to lose or break every other week. I spend most of my day standing behind the counter, helping people who dropped their phones or need a new cable because their dog chewed the old one. It’s a lot of small interactions. Some people stay for a bit to ask about a new model, while others just want their stuff and want to leave quickly. The shop gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. I try to keep everything organized, but it’s hard when you’re constantly pulling things down to show customers. The street noise outside is constant, and I’ve gotten so used to the honking and the crowds that I barely notice it anymore. I don’t have any big plans for the shop, I just want to keep the shelves stocked and make sure people can get their phones fixed or powered up. It is a simple business, really. No need to make it sound more complicated than it actually is. We just sell what people are looking for and keep moving along.
