Mobile Choice

Mobile Choice is situated in Cumballa Hill, right at Sai Chowk. We are in the B-68/70 building. It is a very active part of the city, so there is always something going on outside. The shop isn't very large, but we manage to fit a lot into it. We have shelves full of cases, chargers, and all sorts of bits for mobile phones. Most of our day is spent helping people who have broken their screens or can't get their phones to charge properly. It’s a lot of fiddly work with small screws and delicate parts. Sometimes I feel like my eyes are getting tired from looking at the tiny circuits all day. The crowd at Sai Chowk is constant, so we get people popping in at all hours. We don't really have a set routine other than opening up and seeing what the day brings. Sometimes it's very busy and three of us are working at once, and other times it’s just me sitting there watching the cars go by. We try to keep things simple and just tell people honestly if something can be fixed or not. It’s a competitive area with other shops nearby, but we just do our own thing. We’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. It’s just a small shop trying to get by in a busy neighborhood. We stay open late most nights because that is when people finally have time to stop.
