Mobile Centre

Mobile Centre sits over in Mulund West on 8th Main, specifically at 25/B in the 4th Block area. It is one of those places where the door is usually left wide open to let some air in while we work. The street outside is always full of people going to the market or heading home from the station. We spend a lot of time behind the counter checking out different mobile handsets that people bring in. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty because of all the foot traffic, so we keep a broom handy near the back. Our shelves have a mix of everything, from chargers tangled in their boxes to the latest plastic cases that everyone seems to want these days. It is not a huge space, but it fits what we need. We have a small desk for the paperwork and a stool that wobbles a bit if you sit on it the wrong way. Working in 4th Block means you see the same faces every week, which is nice. We just focus on getting the phones sorted out and helping people find a battery that actually lasts through the afternoon. There isn't any fancy lighting or loud music playing here. It’s just a regular shop where we get on with the daily tasks of checking stock and fixing broken screens for the neighbors. If you walk down 8th Main, you can’t really miss the sign hanging out front above the door.
