Mittal Transport Service

Mittal Transport Service is based out of Shop 1 in Millan Apartment. We’re located in Malad West, right in the thick of things near the Ramchand and Shirchand Yadav Chawl area. It’s a busy spot, especially since Mahakali Caves Road is one of those places that never really goes quiet. The office is small, just enough space for a desk, a couple of chairs, and a very loud ceiling fan that’s been there forever. We handle a lot of the transport logistics from this one room. There’s usually a clipboard hanging by the door with the day’s schedule for the drivers. You’ll often find people coming in and out to pick up their papers or just have a quick glass of water from the jug. The walls have a few maps pinned up, though most are a bit dusty now. We don’t have a fancy sign, just the one above the shutter that tells people who we are. It’s a very hands-on job. We spend half the day on the mobile phone and the other half looking at logbooks and registers. The neighborhood is crowded, so there’s always someone stopping by to ask for directions or about a delivery. It’s not a polished corporate office at all. It’s just where we work. We open early, usually before the traffic gets too bad, and we stay until the last truck is accounted for.
