Mittal Roadways Bombay

We have been at Vyapar Bhavan for a long time now. It is right there on P D Mello road. If you know the area near Masjid, you know how busy it gets with all the loading and unloading every morning. My father started this under the name Mittal Roadways Bombay back when the roads were a lot quieter than they are today. We mostly handle cargo moving in and out of the city. Usually, the office opens early because that is when the drivers start calling in from their routes. It is a bit cramped in room 506 but we make it work. Sometimes the phones do not stop ringing and other days it is just us sitting around drinking tea and waiting for the paperwork to clear. Shaniwar Peth has its own rhythm and we are just a part of that. We do not have a fancy website or anything like that. People just know where to find us. Usually, if a truck is delayed, it is because of the traffic near the docks or some issue with the toll. We just try to get things moved from point A to point B without too much fuss. Dealing with logistics in Bombay means you have to be patient. You learn to live with the noise of the street and the constant smell of diesel. It is just honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
