Meher Transport Corporation

Meher Transport Corporation is situated in Bunder East, right on Gd Ambekar Marg. We are in the Kawarana Building, which is directly opposite the Sholapur Kata. If you know the area, you know that the Kata is where all the heavy action happens. Our office is always buzzing with drivers coming in and out and the sound of big engines outside. Transport is a tricky business because there are so many moving parts. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking where trucks are and when they might arrive. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes things don't go according to plan, like when a tire blows or traffic is backed up for miles. We have been doing this for a long time from this Bunder East location. The building is old but it has a lot of character. We keep the ledgers updated and try to stay on top of the schedules. It is a lot of work and the hours can be quite irregular depending on the shipments. The staff here is used to the pace. We don't use a lot of fancy software; it is mostly about knowing the routes and having reliable people on the road. We see a lot of different goods pass through and every day is a bit different from the last one. We just try to keep the wheels turning and the customers happy with their deliveries.
