Meet Art Jewellery

We are located in the Akashdeep Building, which is number 226/4. It is quite close to Herkisandas Hospital and the Suncity bus stop in Anand Nagar. Khetwadi is always a bit of a maze, but once you find the building, we are right there. We deal with jewellery, mostly the kind of pieces people wear for local functions or just to look a bit nice on a Friday. The shop isn't very large. We have glass cases everywhere filled with bangles, necklaces, and smaller items. Some of the stuff is quite delicate, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass from fingerprints. It gets busy around the time the hospital shifts change or when the bus drops off a big group. We’ve had the same counters for years, and they have some scratches, but they hold up fine. It's just two of us working here most days. We talk to the neighbors a lot. The traffic outside can be a headache, especially during the monsoon when the road gets messy. We keep a small stool in the corner for anyone who needs to sit down while they decide on a pair of earrings. It’s not a corporate place, just a regular shop where we try to keep things in order. We usually have the radio on low in the background. It feels like home after being here for such a long time.
