We are located in the Shiv Industrial Estate over in Chinchpokli East. If you know the area, you know it’s filled with small workshops and warehouses. Our unit is 101, right on the first floor. The K. B. B. Marg is always busy with trucks and tempos moving goods in and out. Inside our space, we deal with a lot of electronic parts and medical equipment. There are workbenches with tools scattered around and boxes waiting to be shipped out. It’s an industrial vibe, so there’s often the sound of machines or clanking from the neighboring units. We aren’t really a retail shop where people walk in off the street. Most of our work is technical. We spend a lot of time testing things and making sure the parts are working. The floor is concrete and the lights are those long fluorescent tubes. It gets a bit hot in the summer, so we have a few pedestal fans running all day. We’ve been in Chinchpokli for quite a while now. We know the regular tea sellers and the delivery drivers who come by every afternoon. It’s a gritty part of the city but it’s where the work gets done. We keep our records in big ledgers and on one old computer. We don't do much in the way of advertising. We just focus on the equipment in front of us and getting it ready. The atmosphere is casual but we stay focused on the tasks. It is just how we do things here.
