Mayur Scooter House

Mayur Scooter House is over in Andheri East, right in the Chakala area. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this part of town gets. We deal with all sorts of scooter parts. It’s mostly the older models people still ride around here, but we have stuff for the newer ones too. The shop is small and sits on a street that never seems to go quiet. We’ve been here for years, watching the Metro get built right above us. It changed the whole look of the place. We have a lot of tires and engine components piled up inside. It’s not the most organized shop you’ll ever see, but we find what people need eventually. Usually, it’s just me and one other guy working. We spend most of the day talking to customers or trying to fix things that people bring in. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we have a small fan that doesn't do much. We don't do any big advertising or anything. Most people who come here have been coming for a long time. They know we have the parts they need for their scooters. It’s a basic shop for basic needs. We don't have any fancy chairs or air conditioning. It’s just a place to get your scooter fixed up so you can get back to work. We like it that way and just keep the business going as it is.
