Mayur Arts

We run Mayur Arts out of Charkop Gulmohar Co Op in Kandivali West. It is unit 209 1, and it is a bit of a tight squeeze with all the materials we keep around. We’ve been here in Mumbai for a while, just doing our own thing with art and craft work. It is a busy neighborhood, and there is always something going on outside our door. Our space is filled with tools, sketches, and half-finished projects. It is not the most organized place, but that is how we work best. We didn't start this to become famous or anything. We just liked making things and realized other people wanted to buy them. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy showroom. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about our work. It is a lot of manual labor, and our hands are usually covered in paint or dust by the end of the day. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule. Sometimes we stay late to finish a piece, and other times we close up early if things are quiet. It is a small operation, just a couple of us who know what we are doing. We like the local vibe of Kandivali. It feels like home, and having our shop here makes sense. We just focus on the craft and try to keep our customers happy with the stuff we make. It is simple but keeps us very busy.
