Matoshree Tours

We operate out of a space near the Mumbai G.P.O. in that old part of town where the buildings are huge and made of stone. Matoshree Tours is a small travel office that we have been running for a long time. It’s a busy spot because of the post office, so there are always people walking past our door. Inside, it’s just a few desks and some chairs that aren't very comfortable, but they do the job. We have maps of India and the local area taped to the walls. We don't have a big corporate sign or a flashy office. It’s just a place where we sit and talk to people about their travel plans. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to close the door just to hear the person on the phone. We take a lot of handwritten notes on pads of paper. It’s a very old-school way of working, but it’s what we are used to. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just help people book their journeys and hope they have a good time. The air in the office is often a bit heavy and we drink plenty of tea to stay focused. It’s a simple, honest business in the middle of a very busy city. We take it one customer at a time.
