Masina Hospital

Masina Hospital has been a part of Byculla for a very long time. We are located on Sant Savla Marg, which is right near the Byculla Railway Station. Because of the station, there are always people around. The building itself has a lot of history and you can see it in the architecture. It’s a large campus with different wings for various departments. We have gardens and old trees around the buildings which makes it feel a bit different from the busy streets outside. Inside, it’s a maze of hallways and rooms. People come from all over the city because we are so close to the tracks. It gets very busy during peak hours. The wards are often full, and you’ll see families sitting on the benches in the courtyards. It’s not like those brand-new glass hospitals you see nowadays. It has a more lived-in feel. The staff are used to the fast pace and the noise of the trains nearby. We have everything from emergency rooms to places where people stay for a long time. It’s a big operation to keep running every day. We just focus on the patients and getting them through the system. It’s a landmark in this part of Byculla, and most taxi drivers know exactly where to go. Being near Byculla Railway Station means we see a lot of people every single day. We’ve been here for ages and we just keep going.
