R. K. Medical Agencies

We are based on Babu Genu Road at Marine Lines. Our shop is near the Vijaya Bank, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Marine Lines is a hub for medical agencies, so we are surrounded by other similar businesses. Our space is filled with stacks of boxes containing various medicines and supplies. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We have a few staff members who spend the day unloading deliveries and then sorting them for our own customers. The street outside is narrow and can get very congested with handcarts and delivery vans. We’ve had to get used to the fast pace of the wholesale market here. We don't have a lot of decorative furniture; mostly it’s just sturdy metal shelves and a big counter at the front. We do our accounting on a computer that sits right next to the stacks of paper invoices. It can get quite dusty with all the cardboard boxes moving around, so we’re always cleaning the surfaces. Most of our interactions are with regular buyers who know exactly what they want. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. We just stay open six days a week and try to keep up with the demand. The fans on the ceiling spin all day to keep the air moving. It’s a busy, practical place to work. Sometimes we go out for a quick snack when things quiet down in the afternoon. It’s just a standard business day for us here at the agency.
