Marina Guest House

Marina Guest House is located at 13, Soona Mahal, right there on 143 Nariman Point. It is a very old building, and we have been operating here for many years now. Mumbai has changed a lot in the time we have been open, but this corner of Nariman Point feels the same in some ways. We have rooms for people who need a place to stay while they are in the city for work or just visiting. It is not like those huge five-star hotels you see further down the road. We are much smaller and more basic than that. You have to walk through the main building to find where we are. The hallways are a bit narrow and the ceilings are high because it is an older construction style. We spend a lot of our time checking people in and out, making sure the sheets are washed and the rooms are ready for the next person. Sometimes the lift acts up, or the city noise from the street below gets a bit loud, but that is just part of living and working in this part of town. We have seen many different faces come through these doors over the years. Some stay for just a single night, while others stay for a whole week. We just keep things running as best as we can. It is a lot of routine work, like sweeping and answering the phone. We don't have fancy decorations here.
