Maratha Excellency

Maratha Excellency is tucked away at Sri Gandha 4, inside the Krishannapa Estate in Sion. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for it, but the people who work in the nearby offices know us well. We’ve been running this spot for a while, and it’s usually quite a rush during the lunch hour. The kitchen gets pretty cramped when everyone is working at once. We handle a lot of different orders every day, and honestly, it gets quite loud with all the shouting and the pots clanking. I remember when we first moved into the estate, we weren't sure if people would find us back here at number 4. But things picked up. We deal with the usual stuff like late deliveries or a stove that won't light right away. It’s not some polished, high-end place with a big staff. It is just a handful of us trying to get the food out while it is still hot. The walls probably need a fresh coat of paint, and the floor stays dusty because of all the construction nearby in Sion. We don't really have time for anything fancy. Most of our day is spent prepping vegetables or cleaning up after the big rush is over. Sometimes the delivery bikes block the entrance, and we have to go out and ask them to move so people can walk in. It’s just a regular business in a busy industrial estate, doing what we do every single day.
