Mantri Printer

Our shop is Shop No 704/B, inside the Mount Everest building in Wadala. We are right next to the Imax Cinema, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Being near the cinema means there is always something going on, especially in the evenings when the movies are playing. Inside the shop, it’s mostly the sound of the machines running. We have stacks of paper everywhere and the smell of ink is pretty much a permanent fixture. We spend a lot of time checking proofs and making sure the colors look okay on the page. It’s a hands-on kind of job. The space is filled with equipment, so there isn't much room for anything else. We started here because the location in Wadala seemed like a good spot to reach people. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and we talk about what needs to be printed. Whether it’s a small stack of flyers or something bigger, we just get it into the machine and wait for it to finish. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them, which is part of the daily grind. We stay until the last job of the day is done. It’s just a regular local print shop doing its thing day after day next to the big screen.
