You can find us at Gala No 34 in the Fancy Chambers building. This is in the Sur Masjid area of Sakinaka, right near the Masjid Bunder railway station. Because of where we are, it is always extremely crowded and loud. Manorama Shipping Clearing Agencies is a small operation. We handle a lot of the clearing and forwarding work that comes through the docks and the railway. Our office is stuffed with big lever-arch files and mountains of paper. There isn't much room for anything else. We have a couple of old fans that try their best to keep us cool in the afternoon. The stairs in Fancy Chambers are a bit dark and narrow, but it’s a building with a lot of history. We spend a lot of our day on the phone or running over to the customs office. It’s a lot of work and sometimes the deadlines are very tight. We don't have any polished marketing brochures. Our business comes from the fact that we have been around this area for so many years and people know we can handle the paperwork. It’s a bit of a gritty job, and the area is always dusty, but it’s what we do. We just keep our heads down and get the files cleared one by one without making a fuss.
