Our office is on the ground floor of Kanti Sadan, number 10. We are tucked away in Sayani, Worli. It’s a small space but it fits what we need. Most of the day is spent looking at drawings or talking on the phone with site managers. There are usually rolls of blueprints leaning against the wall and the smell of coffee everywhere. We’ve been in this part of Worli for quite some time now. People come to us when they have a building project or need some structural advice. It’s not a glamorous setup. We have a couple of desks and some old drafting stools that probably need replacing soon. The traffic outside on 1st A Main can get loud during the day, but we’re used to it. Sometimes the neighbors drop by for a chat while we are working. We handle the technical side of things, making sure the math is right and the plans make sense. It’s a lot of back and forth with the local authorities too. It can be tedious work, but someone has to do it correctly. We don't really do much advertising. Usually, someone tells a friend about us and that’s how we stay busy. It’s just a straightforward engineering practice. We keep our hours regular but often stay late when a deadline is coming up for a project submission. We try to be careful with the details because mistakes in this line of work cause real problems later.
