Manjit Scooter

Manjit Scooter has been a part of Mahim for a long time. We are situated at Plot No 378 in Sadhna Niwas, right on L J road. This road is always full of traffic, so there is never a quiet moment. We deal with scooters all day long. There is usually oil on the floor and grease on our clothes, but that is part of the job. We have all sorts of spare parts tucked away in the corners of the shop. Some of them are for older models that you do not see much on the road anymore. Mahim is a great place to be because it feels like the heart of everything. We get all kinds of people stopping by with their scooters. Sometimes they just need a quick adjustment, and other times the engine needs to be taken apart completely. We do not have a fancy waiting room or air conditioning. Most customers just stand around and chat while we work. The salt air from the sea nearby sometimes makes the metal parts rust faster, so we have to be careful about that. We are not trying to be the biggest shop in town; we just want to get the scooters back on the road. It is a lot of hard work and our hands are never really clean, but we enjoy it anyway. It is just the way things are done at Manjit Scooter.
