You can find Mangalam Trading Company over in Mahim West, specifically in the Anand Co-Op Housing Society. We are in unit B-4, right on Sitladevi Temple Road. It’s a nice area because the temple is nearby, so there’s always a bit of a peaceful vibe, even when the streets are busy. Our office is basically a converted residential space, which makes it feel a lot more comfortable and less like a cold corporate environment. We have a small team here, and we mostly focus on local trading and supply. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the birds in the trees outside and the sounds of the neighborhood waking up. We don’t have a lot of walk-in customers, so most of our business is done over the phone or through emails. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day and take things as they come. We’ve been here long enough that all the neighbors know us, and we try to keep things quiet so we don’t disturb anyone. It’s a very practical way to run a business without all the overhead of a fancy commercial building. We like the pace here in Mahim; it’s not as frantic as some other parts of Mumbai.
