Our office is in Mangalam House, located at 38 W H Marg in the B Fort area. We are directly opposite Jahaz Bhavan, which is a big landmark around here that everyone knows. Working in the shipping and logistics business means there is always a lot of movement and a ton of documents to keep track of. The Fort area is always buzzing with people and cars, so getting to the office in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic. Inside, we have rows of filing cabinets and desks piled high with shipping manifests and customs papers. It’s a busy atmosphere with the phones ringing and people talking about container schedules. We have a view of the street, and you can see the hustle of the city right outside the window. The building itself has some history to it, and the high ceilings help keep it from feeling too cramped when we have a lot of staff in. We spend a lot of time on the phone with port authorities and truck drivers. Lunch is usually a quick affair because there is always a shipment that needs attention. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles against the Mumbai heat, but we make do with some extra fans. We’ve been handling logistics from this building for quite a while now. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure things get from point A to point B without too many headaches or delays.
