Our office is located in Mandvi, right on Kazi Sayed Street. We are in the Navjivan building, Suite No. 302. If you know Mumbai, you know that Kazi Sayed Street is one of the busiest and most crowded places for trade. The air is always thick with the smell of spices and grains. It’s a very old area, and the building reflects that history. We don’t have a lot of space, just enough for our desks and the massive amount of paperwork that comes with agricultural commodities. The stairs are narrow, and the lift is often occupied with people moving goods, so we end up walking up quite a bit. It’s a loud place to work because of the shouting and the noise of handcarts outside. We deal with various agri-products and talk to people from all over the country. There is no corporate polish here. It’s just a group of us working in a small room, keeping track of prices and shipments. We don’t have a mission statement or any fancy slogans on the walls. We just come in, do our work, and try to keep up with the market. It’s a traditional way of doing business that hasn't changed much over the years. We like being in the heart of the trade district, even with all the chaos. It feels like home to us now.
