Being located in Sampatrao Colony in Powai means we see the same faces quite a lot. Our shop is where people come when their water purifier starts acting up or they need a new fan because the old one finally gave up. It’s a fairly quiet corner compared to the main roads, which is nice. We have rows of appliances lining the walls, and sometimes you have to squeeze past a crate of ovens to get to the back. We do our own thing here. Usually, one of us is busy checking the inventory while another is helping a neighbor figure out why their induction cooktop is making a weird clicking sound. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the regulars. The colony is a good place to be. We know most of the people by name, which makes the work feel a bit more personal. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane, and we all have to go out and help guide it in. It's just part of the daily routine. We focus on selling things that actually last. If a brand has been giving people trouble, we usually tell the customers to avoid it. It’s better to be honest so they come back next time. That’s pretty much how we’ve always run the place here in Powai.
