Our office is B/22 in Ajitnagar, right near N. L. Highschool on S. V. Road in Malad West. Being near a school means it gets very noisy in the mornings and afternoons when the kids are coming and going. You can hear the bells ringing and the parents waiting outside. S. V. Road is always jammed with traffic, so we hear a lot of horns all day long. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy and keeps the sun out. We have a lot of files and boxes stacked up in the corners because we handle quite a bit of administrative work for the business. The ceiling fan wobbles a little when it’s on high, but it does the job. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and some notes pinned up. Most of our work involves coordinating between different suppliers and making sure the records are straight. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at screens, but we try to take breaks and talk. Sometimes we order tea from the stall downstairs when we have a long afternoon ahead of us. It’s a simple operation, nothing too flashy or complicated. We just focus on our daily tasks and making sure we don't miss any deadlines. Finding parking near the high school is almost impossible, so most of us take the train or a rickshaw. It’s just our regular workplace.
