Our shop is Shop No. 2 in the Surbhi building, over in Jankalyan Nagar. If you’re driving down Marve Road in Malad, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times. We deal with all sorts of linens—sheets, towels, and various fabrics for the home. The shop is often full of stacks of cloth and plastic-wrapped bundles because we get new stock in pretty regularly. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so people can actually walk around. Most of our customers are locals from the housing societies nearby who just need some fresh bedding or a new set of towels. We spend a lot of time unfolding things to show the patterns and then folding them back up again. It’s a simple business, really. We’ve been here in Malad for a good while, and we like the pace of the neighborhood. It’s not as frantic as the main market areas, but we stay busy enough. Sometimes people come in with very specific colors in mind, and we have to dig through the back to see if we have exactly what they want. It’s just us working here, keeping an eye on the shop and helping people pick out what they need for their houses. We don't do much advertising; people just find us by walking past. It is a bit crowded inside, but that is just because we like to keep plenty of stock.
