Maihar Cement

Our office is located in Industry House, specifically Building No 159, right in the Church Gate Reclamation area. It is quite a central spot, near Akashvani, so there is always a lot of movement outside. Maihar Cement has been operating out of this space for a good bit of time. We aren't out there in the fields digging things up; this is where the paperwork and the distribution side of things happen. It is a bit of a classic old building, and we spend most of our days on the phone or tracking shipments on the computer. Dealing with cement means you’re always thinking about logistics and making sure the supply chain doesn't break down somewhere along the line. It gets a bit hectic when multiple orders come in at once, but we manage. You can hear the city noise from our windows, which reminds us how much building is actually going on around Mumbai. We have some long-term staff here who have been through the ups and downs of the industry. It's not a flashy place with modern art on the walls or anything like that. It’s just desks, filing cabinets, and people trying to coordinate deliveries for various construction projects. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing to keep the supply moving and the customers sorted out for their big builds.
