Mahima Hospital & Polyclinic

Mahima Hospital and Polyclinic is located at number 7 Bunglow in Versova, right across from the Maharashtra Bank. It’s a good location because the bank is a very easy landmark for everyone living in this part of town. The building is an older bungalow structure, which is common for this part of Versova, and it has a bit of a lived-in, worn feel to it. Since we are a polyclinic, we have various small rooms used for different types of health checkups and consultations. The hallway is a bit narrow, so people often have to squeeze past each other when the clinic is busy in the evenings. We have a small reception area where the desk is usually covered in notebooks, pens, and appointment slips. The windows look out towards the street, and you can see the hustle of the area throughout the day. We have a few wooden benches outside the main rooms for people to sit while they wait their turn. The staff knows most of the regular patients by their first names because they live just a few blocks away. It’s not a shiny, new corporate medical center, but it’s where we come to work every day. We usually have the local news playing on a small TV in the corner of the waiting room. There is always the sound of someone talking or a phone ringing in the background. It’s a community-focused spot.
