Mahboob Engineering

We are located at 41342 Powai 5th Road under the name Mahboob Engineering. Powai has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner feels mostly the same. We do engineering work, which basically means people bring us things that are broken or need making, and we figure out how to do it. Our workshop is full of tools that have been around as long as the business has. There’s a specific smell of grease and cold metal that hits you as soon as you walk in. We don't have a lot of space, so everything is tucked into corners or hanging from the walls. It’s just three or four of us working here. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively. Sometimes we have to deal with very specific measurements, and it gets pretty quiet while everyone focuses. Other times, it’s just loud grinding and welding. We don't have a website or a fancy marketing plan. People usually find us because a friend told them we could fix their problem. We just focus on doing the work well without making a big deal out of it. The 5th Road can get pretty busy with traffic, but once you’re inside the shop, we just focus on the task at hand. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood.
