Mahavir Dyes

Mahavir Dyes is based at 53 Bapu Khote Street in Masjid Bunder West. This area is one of the most crowded parts of the city, and our shop is right in the middle of it all. The lane is so narrow that sometimes two people can barely pass each other. Our shop is filled with the smell of dyes and large sacks of color. It is a very old building, and you can see the age in the wooden beams and the uneven floors. We have been here for a long time, and the shop has stayed pretty much the same. We do not have any modern decor or air conditioning. We just have our scales and our customers. Dealing with dyes is a messy job, and our clothes usually have a few stains on them by the end of the shift. We talk to people from all over the city who come here looking for specific shades. It is interesting to see what they are making. We do not have a big strategy for the future. We just want to keep the shop open and serve the people who come to Bapu Khote Street. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain leaks through the front door, but we just carry on. It is a traditional life in a part of the city that doesn't change much. We like it that way.
