Mahavir Creations

We started this place a long time ago here in Borivali West. It’s right across from Bhagwati Hospital, so most people know where we are. Our shop, Mahavir Creations, is tucked into Mathura Vihar on S.V.P. Road. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the fabrics and the machines we use every day. We spend most of our mornings opening up the shutters and dusting off the counters before the first customers show up. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, but we’re used to it by now. We handle a lot of different orders throughout the week. Sometimes it’s busy and we’re running behind, and other times it’s quiet enough to have a proper tea break. My nephew helps out with the inventory when he’s not busy. We don’t really do fancy advertising or anything like that. People just walk in because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. The heat in the afternoon can be a bit much, but we keep the fans going. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. New buildings go up and old ones get torn down, but we stay right here in the same spot. It’s a decent living and we know most of the people who walk past our door. That’s just how it goes here. We keep a stash of biscuits for the local stray dogs too.
