Mahavir Chains

Mahavir Chains is tucked away at 31 Kamat Industrial Estate on V.S. Marg in Prabhadevi. It’s a typical industrial spot, so there’s always the sound of machinery and the smell of oil in the air. We’ve been here at number 396 for quite a while now. The space is filled with the equipment we use to make our chains. It’s not a place for people who mind getting their clothes a little dirty. The lights are a bit dim in some corners, but we have bright lamps over the workbenches where the real precision happens. Prabhadevi is a busy part of the city, but once you step into the industrial estate, it feels like its own little world. We have a small team, and most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting around together, talking about the news or complaining about the commute. The fans on the ceiling do their best to keep the air moving, but it still gets stuffy during the summer months. We don't have a sales team or anything like that. We just focus on the manufacturing and let the quality of the chains speak for itself. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment where we just focus on the task at hand and try to stay productive. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish an order, but that’s just part of the job and we don't mind the extra effort.
