Maharashtra Rajya Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Sangh Ltd

We are located on the 11th floor of Sakhar Bhavan in the Backbay Reclamation area of Nariman Point. It’s a pretty tall building, and you get a decent view of the city from up here. Maharashtra Rajya Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Sangh Ltd is basically a big group that works with sugar factories. There is always a lot of paperwork moving through this office. It can get pretty noisy with the fans going and people talking on their phones. We spend a lot of time coordinating between different people and making sure the sugar production side of things is running okay. It’s a cooperative setup, so there are always meetings happening in the back room. We don't really do anything fancy here. The furniture is old and the files are stacked high, but we know where everything is. It’s a busy place, especially when the harvest is in full swing and the sugar mills are working hard. We have staff who have been here for decades, literally. They know every little detail about the sugar industry in this part of the country. We just try to keep things moving so the farmers and the factories can do their jobs. It’s not always smooth sailing, and there are often problems to solve, but that’s just the nature of the business. We show up, drink some tea, and get to work.
