Our factory and office are located at 145 Hema Estate, which is in Sarvodaya Nagar over in Jogeshwari East. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. At Magnum Pigments & Polymers, we work with colors and plastics. It’s a technical field, but we are just regular people doing the work. The walls inside the estate are a bit weathered, and the roads can be bumpy, but it’s a good place to do business. We spend a lot of time mixing things and checking samples to make sure the colors are right. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees. We are a smaller team that knows each other’s names. We deal with other businesses mostly, supplying them with what they need for their own manufacturing. The humidity in Mumbai can be tough on the materials, so we have to be careful about how we store everything in the warehouse. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’re likely to meet one of us coming out of the production area with a bit of dust on our clothes. We just focus on getting the orders out on time and making sure the quality is what it should be. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We’ve been operating from this estate for quite a long time.
