I’m Madhavi Khadpe and I operate from my home here in Mumbai. My place is Flat 604 in the A-wing of Rajeshwar Society. We are right on the J.V. Link Road, so there is always noise from the traffic. If you know the area, we are just opposite the Ganesh Talav in Jogeshwari East. It’s a busy spot but it works for me. I started doing this because I wanted something of my own. Living in a housing society means you always have neighbors around, so it never feels lonely. I handle all the work myself from this flat. It’s not like those corporate offices you see in the city. It’s just a small setup where I keep my papers and my computer. Dealing with the Mumbai commute is too much, so working from here is better. Most people find it easy to reach because the link road is a major landmark. Sometimes the elevator in our building acts up, which is a bit of a pain, but we manage. I’ve been in this society for a while now and everyone knows my face. I don't really have a fancy website or anything. I just talk to people and do my job. It’s a simple life but I stay busy. Mumbai keeps you on your toes no matter what you do. I just try to keep things moving one day at a time without overcomplicating the small things.
