M. R. Impex

We have been running M. R. Impex from our spot at 11, Bohri Estate for quite a few years now. If you are trying to find us, we are right across from Somani Gram and tucked in behind the old Ajit Glass factory. It’s off S.V. Road in Goregaon West, which is always a bit of a mess with traffic, especially in the mornings. Our place isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s a working warehouse and office where we spend most of our time dealing with import and export paperwork and checking on crates. It gets pretty dusty in the estate, and there’s always the sound of trucks reversing or people shouting to be heard over the noise. We aren’t some big corporate firm with a polished lobby. Most of the time, the desks are piled high with shipping manifests and the floor has bits of packing tape stuck to it. It’s a small group of us here just doing our daily jobs. We know most of the guys working in the nearby units and we usually get our tea from the same stall every afternoon. The office can get a bit hot when the afternoon sun hits the windows, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We don’t spend money on big ads or marketing people. We just focus on getting the goods moved and making sure the records are right. It’s a busy, noisy, and sometimes stressful way to spend the day, but it is what we do.
