You can find us over in Jogeshwari at the Raj Nagar area in Behram Baug. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of families and small shops around. We run a garment unit where we do a bit of everything, from cutting to final stitching. The space is a little cramped because we have so many sewing machines squeezed in together. It gets pretty loud when everyone is working at once. We don't have any air conditioning, just some big fans that move the air around. Most of the people working here live just a few streets away. We’ve been at this location for a while and the neighbors know us. There are always bundles of clothes sitting on the floor waiting to be moved. We aren't trying to be a high-end fashion house or anything. We just make clothes that people can actually wear every day. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish an order, and we’ll order some tea from the corner stall to keep us going. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy to worry about that. It’s just a regular, hard-working place. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the fabric, follow the patterns, and make sure the seams are strong. It's a simple business but it keeps us all occupied and provides work for the folks in Raj Nagar. We just keep sewing and hope for the best.
